Social Media Slice for November 19, 2018 : CONVERTING FREE OFFERS INTO SALES, SMALL BIZ SATURDAY, and FACEBOOK CLOAKING

MOTIVATIONAL SLICE

Our #MondayMotivation cover picture to get the week started is from a tweet by Dawn Marrs @dawnmarrs (background graphic added).

SLICE is a M-F news digest targeted to assist Social Media Managers and Small Business Owners doing their own marketing.

MAIN SLICE

CONVERTING FREE OFFERS INTO SALES- Does your marketing strategy include free trials or free plans to entice as many users as possible to try client products & services? How is it going? Those users are useless if they don’t become paying customers. We found this article aimed at subscription based services but a lot is applicable to social media marketing and email offers. More

SLICE SPECIAL OF THE DAY

SMALL BIZ SATURDAY SEEKS SHOPPERS- It is a shopping day designed for your clients. Community pride used to motivate traffic. Are your clients participating? Here is what is happening in my city. More

SLICE INGREDIENTS

FACEBOOK CLOAKING FROM CLIENTS- I get it. You love your clients. Nice people. And their billing helped pay for your 2-year old’s new shoes and swing set. But sometimes you want to be on FB and not have them see you on, because they will ask you a thousand questions. Relax, Slice found a posting that will show you how to appear offline on FB. More

SLICE ON THE GO

PHONY POLICE PASSPORT PLOY- Money is not the only negotiable commodity of value you carry worth stealing while in a foreign country. This scam runs with you being approached and offered drugs or stolen goods. By coincidence men dressed as cops overhear and demand passports from both of you. Don’t give it up. Most likely they are not policemen.

Best advice? Cooperate with a twist. Say yes, sure, follow me to my hotel where I keep it locked in my room. They won’t waste time following you. And if they do, then when you get to hotel inform desk clerk and have clerk call the local cops to confirm.

As a Social Media Manager or Small Business Owner, what is one of YOUR biggest pain points? Could it be the blogging process? You KNOW you need blogs for improved SEO on Google, but researching, writing, revising to include keywords, and then editing are very time-consuming tasks. Especially if it takes you THREE HOURS to write the first paragraph!

On the other hand, I can write three paragraphs just getting out of bed. Make better use of your time and tap into my over 40 years of experience as a reporter, editor, and free-lance community writer to generate your creative content. – Anthony Scialis, Managing Editor, SoMe Slice
