SLICE is a M-F news digest targeted to assist Social Media Managers and Small Business Owners doing their own marketing.

FACEBOOK UNDER ATTACK- Not a good week for Zuck and company. In addition to yesterday’s news about just plain giving customer info away to 3rd party tech firms, comes this:

“Facebook failed to protect the privacy of its users and deceived them about who had access to their data and how it was used,” stated Washington, D.C.’s attorney general, Karl Racine, in suing Facebook over its user data collection and protection practices.

“Facebook put users at risk of manipulation by allowing companies like Cambridge Analytica and other third-party applications to collect personal data without users’ permission. Today’s lawsuit is about making Facebook live up to its promise to protect its users’ privacy.”

2018 TOP SEARCH KEYWORDS- Trends of 2018 could be the norm for 2019. Generic is dead, 2019 will be the year of personalization seems to be the end result of a Google survey of the way questions were posed this year. Less “one word” query questions in favor of the “phrase” type. More

TOOLS TO DOMINATE ON PINTEREST- The article is from a blogger’s point of view (well, I do write blogs) but these tips can also be applied by resourceful social media managers and small biz owners who do their own marketing.

WI-FI GOES UNLIMITED AT MILWAUKEE AIRPORT- Saying that unlimited free Wi-Fi has been one of the most-requested passenger amenities at Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport, management has given holiday travelers a great gift.

The unlimited free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport terminal, including the concession mall, ticketing, baggage claim, Concourse C and Concourse D. More

As a Social Media Manager or Small Business Owner, what is one of YOUR biggest pain points? Could it be the blogging process? You KNOW you need blogs for improved SEO on Google, but researching, writing, revising to include keywords, and then editing are very time-consuming tasks. Especially if it takes you THREE HOURS to write the first paragraph!

On the other hand, I can write three paragraphs just getting out of bed. Make better use of your time and tap into my over 40 years of experience as a reporter, editor, and free-lance community writer to generate your creative content. – Anthony Scialis, Managing Editor, SoMe Slice
