MAIN SLICE

Tumblr Sold to WordPress Owner-
This is interesting. Verizon dumps Tumblr as user numbers dropped after adult content was banned. New owner Automattic plans no changes there, but there could be an interesting synergy to develop between the two blogging platforms.

“Tumblr was once a hugely influential force in the blogging and social media sphere, but it become less so under Yahoo and then Verizon’s ownership. Meanwhile, platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube moved to fill the void and become much larger cultural forces as a result. Still, Tumblr does have a very active and dedicated community.” – Julia Alexander, writing for The Verge

“Reach and Frequency buying is currently rolling out to some qualifying Advertisers in the US, UK, France, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Australia, Germany, India, Norway, the Netherlands, and Denmark.
