How do you feel about working for pizza? No, not for a pizza joint, but for free pizza. Get paid in pizza slices to produce content supporting local pizza businesses!!! The app, Slice, is on a nationwide hunt to find 50 pizza lovers to work as each of their state’s Head of Pizza.

Slice’s business model uses technology to help independent pizza stores compete with the mobile order deliveries of the big chains. It offers its service in over 8,500 cities nationwide.

As Head of Pizza, you will become charter members of the PIE society. That stands for Promotion of Independents Everywhere.

What’s really in it for you?

  • A year of free pizza, valued at $1300 (that is 52 weekly store credits of $25 on the Slice app).
  • $500 for “travel” (that is four $125 Visa gift cards sent quarterly to cover expenses driving to pizza places, or wherever you want to go).
  • A content creation kit to document your food tales, including a ring light and phone tripod valued at up to $2,000.

Bottom line, Slice wants you to eat pizza every week for a year. As Head of Pizza, you must go to a new place each time. You are to visit places around your state. You must “capture content that shares the unique story behind the pizza.” You are to take pictures or videos. And you should present a positive review as often as possible.

Remember, the idea is to promote neighborhood pizza shops.

According to an article in Forbes, the Slice app has driven $600 million in sales for more than 12,000 pizzerias.

That’s a lot of dough! (Sorry, could not resist)

Applying for this Free Pizza Job

Anyone 21 years of age or older who is a registered Slice app user may apply. In addition, you may also need at least several “years of experience” eating pizza.

Applications can be submitted from now until July 30th. The 50 winners from each state will be notified on August 13th.

Slice described the ideal candidate in a Newsweek article:

“It was love at first bite and you’ve never looked back. You don’t discriminate—you love pizzas of all sizes, shapes, and backgrounds! You want to shout about your love of pizza from the rooftops. Maybe you were a guest of honor at your delivery guy’s wedding. You’re passionate about your community and supporting small businesses. You have a passion for creating content and are excited to tell the stories of independent pizzerias.”
